Snake Davis Band (Headliner)
Our headline act is the legendary saxophonist Snake Davis with his 4-piece band. Snake Davis has played and recorded with artists ranging from James Brown to Tina Turner to Paul McCartney to Amy Winehouse and is widely known for his solos on tracks by M-People, Klingande, Take That, and Lisa Stansfield. From soul through pop to jazz and world, the band will perform original material and classic saxophone features such as ‘Baker Street’ and ‘Night Train’.

Celebrating 30 years, the 7-piece powerhouse will bring their trademark brand of high-energy instrumental jazz-funk to the stage. Expect Funkestra favourites alongside material from their new album ‘Funktopia’, blending the spirit and grooves of James Brown, Tower of Power, the Brecker Brothers, Lettuce and Snarky Puppy.

Hannah Horton is an award-winning, saxophonist, band leader, and composer. As a performer her strong, clear tone, powerful rhythmic sense and compelling sense of melody make her an unmistakable voice on the jazz scene. Her music prioritises melody and a sense of playfulness to create a very personal take on jazz that is informed equally by a strong affinity to groove, echoing jazz legends such as Chick Corea and Stan Getz.
